at the Park It was noted that papers were still being prepared for prosecution |

Matters It was noted that a case was being prepared for prosecution concerning the removal of the hedge at the Fruit Farm |

| (c) | Police Reform
Consultation The Clerk reported that he had attended the consultation meeting. It was said that change was essential because Warwickshire Police was not large enough to deal with neither major crime nor public disorder An undertaking had been given that the system of Neighbourhood Policing would be retained |

| (d) | A46/M40 Junction Councillor Stammers reported that he and Councillor Fitchford had attended the exhibition. He said that two proposed routes were on display, but the original route had been discarded because of the presence of a rare nesting of bats. He added, however, that this proposal appeared to be the more appropriate route and would less intrusive to the village of Sherbourne He had been asked by Mr. Brian Taylor, Liaison Officer, to submit a plan of the 'rat runs' in the area and this he undertook to do After discussion, it was agreed that the proposed scheme was a matter of concern and that Parish Councils in the vicinity should be contacted with a view to convening a meeting to discuss a concerted approach It was agreed to include Councillor Hobbs in the discussions |

| Referred to the
problem of misbehaving children in the village and said that he had spoken
to a group after an incident of snowballing. He had given advice, but
he hoped to arrange a meeting in the future to discuss with them possible
recreational pursuits Spoke of cars parked at the entrance to farmland opposite the War Memorial which caused an obstruction. He had the matter in hand, but the problem was intermittent and he required evidence |

| 09. | TO CONSIDER
APPOINTMENT OF TRUSTEE TO SNITTERFIELD NURSERY SCHOOL |

| Councillor Mrs.
Morlidge introduced the subject and said that Janice Straker, Chairperson,
Snitterfield Nursery School had approached her and asked if the Parish
Council would consider nominating a member as a Trustee After discussion, it was agreed not to make a nomination at this time |
| 10. CEMETERY MAINTENANCE |
| The Clerk reported
that Greenacre Garden Services had completed the work of weeding and clearing
the paths, which showed a significant improvement in the appearance It was agreed to arrange a site meeting with Greenacre Garden Services to discuss the clearing of undergrowth and tidying the hedges at the top end; the Chairman and Councillor Stammers to attend It was also agreed to make enquiries to obtain quotations to repair the entrance gate |
| 10. RESPONSES TO CONSULTATIONS FROM PUBLIC BODIES |
| The Clerk said
that there had been an increase in the number of consultations received
and referred to the four items listed under 'CORRESPONDENCE' at item 7
on the Agenda. He said that the consultations were usually lengthy and
had a short response date. He said that it was necessary to adopt a policy
to formulate appropriate responses After discussion of various options, it was agreed that the Clerk should study each consultation and report back on the relevance of the content to the Council. A decision could then be adopted on the process of a response |
| 11. PARISH PLAN ACTIONS |
| Consideration
was given to a response from Malcolm Graham, Team Leader of Safety Engineering
at Warwickshire County Council to a request for a traffic survey to establish
the need for certain road improvements After discussion, the Clerk was asked to acknowledge the letter informing the writer that a copy of the published Parish Plan would be forwarded to all appropriate Departments in due course Consideration was also given to a response from Dr. Martin Popplewell, Claverdon Surgery to a request to establish liaison with a view to improving medical facilities at Snitterfield It was agreed to arrange a meeting with Dr. Leyland as soon as convenient |
