MINUTES OF FINANCE MEETING OF SNITTERFIELD PARISH COUNCIL
HELD IN THE VILLAGE HALL ON MONDAY 16TH JANUARY 2006,

There was a five minute period of public participation prior to the formal agenda

2. DECLARATIONS OF INTEREST
Personal Interests were declared in relation to Agenda item No. 4 - Grants / Donations

3. ANNUAL RETURN
Deferred - Annual Return not yet received from External Auditor
4. GRANTS/DONATIONS
It was noted that payment had been made for the installation of a new boiler and the proposed purchase of baby care equipment to the Village Hall, totalling £1800 during the current financial year
It was agreed not to make a further grant at this time
The following donations were agreed for the current financial year under Section 137, Local Government Act, 1972
It was noted that, in accordance with the formula laid down, a total sum of £5321.20 was permitted
Parochial Church Council £500
Methodist Church £150
'Snipe' Magazine £1,500
'Link' Magazine £500
Dedicated Air Ambulance £100
Conservation Committee £50
Sports Club £1500
Friends of School and Nursery £500
Parish Plan £450
Website £50
No donations were made to Warwickshire Crimestoppers, WRVS and Breakthrough Breast Cancer
5. ALLOTMENT RENT
It was agreed that Allotment Rents should remain unchanged at £10
6. CEMETERY FEES
It was agreed to increase the fees payable at Part 1
Part 1
(a) Internment of body of person whose age at death exceeds 12 years £70
(b) Internment of cremated remains in grave £70
Part 2
(a) Exclusive right of burial £70
The fees under Part 3 to remain unchanged
7. BUDGET AND PRECEPT
The Clerk submitted details of current bank balances and estimates of income and expenditure to the end of the financial year
Estimates of Income and Expenditure for the financial year 2006/2007 were also submitted for consideration
There followed a full discussion on the amount to be precepted with differing views expressed on the percentage of increase
Proposed Councillor Mrs Morlidge, Seconded Councillor Miss Kimberley
'that the Parish Precept be set at £20,600, an increase on the previous year of 3%'

A vote was taken and the motion was carried on the casting vote of the Chairman
There being no further business, the Chairman declared the meeting closed at 8.35 pm
