| 4. GRANTS/DONATIONS It was noted that payment had been made for the installation of a new boiler and the proposed purchase of baby care equipment to the Village Hall, totalling £1800 during the current financial year It was agreed not to make a further grant at this time The following donations were agreed for the current financial year under Section 137, Local Government Act, 1972 It was noted that, in accordance with the formula laid down, a total sum of £5321.20 was permitted |

BUDGET AND PRECEPT The Clerk submitted details of current bank balances and estimates of income and expenditure to the end of the financial year Estimates of Income and Expenditure for the financial year 2006/2007 were also submitted for consideration There followed a full discussion on the amount to be precepted with differing views expressed on the percentage of increase Proposed Councillor Mrs Morlidge, Seconded Councillor Miss Kimberley 'that the Parish Precept be set at £20,600, an increase on the previous year of 3%' A vote was taken and the motion was carried on the casting vote of the Chairman |
