3. GRANTS/DONATIONS
Village Hall Management Committee £2000
The following grants were agreed for the current financial year under Section 137, Local Government Act, 1972. It was noted that, in accordance with the formula laid down, a total sum of £5,461-76 was permitted
Parochial Church Council £540
Methodist Church £150
'Snipe' Magazine £1,500
'Link' Magazine £500
Dedicated Air Ambulance £150
Sports Club £1500
Friends of School and Nursery £1000
Website £50
Council for Voluntary Service £27-50
No donations were made to WRVS, Breakthrough Breast Cancer and Vitalise (formerly Winged Fellowship Trust)
4. ALLOTMENT RENT
It was agreed to raise the Allotment Rents to £12-50 as from 1st April
5. CEMETERY FEES
IIt was agreed to increase fees payable from 1st April, as follows

Part 1
Interment in a grave where exclusive right of burial has been granted

(a) Internment of body of person whose age at death exceeds 12 years £75
(b) Internment of cremated remains in grave £30
Part 2
Exclusive right of burial in earthen grave
(a) Exclusive right of burial in grave 9' x 4' for 75 years
£85
Part 3
Monuments where exclusive right of burial has been granted
(a) Headstone not exceeding 3ft. high (edging stones not permitted)
£60
(b) Added inscription to headstone
£20

6. BUDGET AND PRECEPT
The Clerk submitted for consideration details of current bank balances and estimates of income and expenditure to the end of the financial year 2006/2007
Also submitted were estimates of income and expenditure for the financial year 2007/2008
After a full discussion,

Councillor Stammers proposed, Councillor Mrs. Morlidge seconded
'that the Parish Precept be set at £20,600, as in the previous year

.

7. PAYMENTS TO BE AUTHORISED
(a) I. Wilkins Clerk's Salary and Expenses
£636-64
(b) Inland Revenue PAYE on Clerk's Salary
£148-50
Councillor Mrs. Morlidge said that the Clerk's contract and Conditions of Service should be discussed
It was agreed to put the issue on the Agenda of the February Meeting
There being no further business, the Chairman declared the meeting closed at 8.20 pm

Mr. Ken Chatland
Made a request for a donation to cover the annual cost of the website
Ms. Janice Straker
Made a request, in confirmation of an earlier letter, on behalf of Snitterfield Nursery and Friends of Snitterfield School for funding of a project to provide disabled access to the outside play areas
After the formal agenda
Mr. Ken Chatland
Referred to the grant of £5,000 received from Awards for All and asked if a decision had been made on a project for its use
The Clerk said that the IT Department of the District Council was in the process of conducting interviews with Parish Councils
It was agreed to follow up with the District Council
