PARISH COUNCIL HELD IN THE VILLAGE HALL ON MONDAY 9TH OCTOBER 2006,

| (a) | Planning Enforcement
Matters Councillor Stammers reported on a meeting he had attended with Mr. Trevor Askew, Strategic Director and Mr. Pat Reid, Head of Planning Service. The discussion had ranged over various issues and he felt that there had been a positive response He had raised a number of planning enforcement issues and he gave an update on the progress (1) Trees - The Park (2) Hedgerows - Fruit Farm (3) Corner Cottage, The Green (4) Oak Cottage, Bearley Road He expressed his concern about the continuing delays in resolving these Enforcement Notices |
| 05. | COMMENTS/OBSERVATIONS BY COUNTY AND DISTRICT COUNCILLOR |
| (a) | Made reference
to the Planning Application for change of use for gypsy occupation on
land off Warwick Road, Black Hill. He had already spoken to the Planning
Officer and said that it raised sensitive issues The Chairman proposed that, in view of the sensitive nature of any response, the Council should engage the services of a planning consultant This proposal was agreed without dissent |
| (b) | Spoke of instances of flooding on the lower part of Ingon Lane, which had caused some concern. He said that the County Council had undertaken to repair the ducts under the road |
| (c) | Reported that the matter of the election of a School Governor had been resolved |

| 9. CLIMATE CHANGE AND SUSTAINABLE ENERGY ACT 2006 |
| The matter was
further discussed and a number of suggestions were submitted for consideration (1) Liase with nominated officer of Stratford on Avon District Council (2) Funds are available to start up a project (3) Arrange Open Day with distribution of low energy bulbs (4) Engage School in project (5) Tree planting (6) Energy saving at Village Hall (7) Possible interest in project from Warwick University (8) To appoint a separate group to set up arrangements It was agreed to consider the matter further at the November Meeting |
| 10. REPLACEMENT STREET LAMP - THE GREEN |
| The Clerk submitted designs
and costings for replacement street lighting columns from ABB Limited,
Period Lighting Company and Victorian Lighting Company After discussion, it was agreed that the street lighting column from Period Lighting Company, Code LP02 would be most appropriate. The Clerk was authorised to place an order and to arrange for installation, subject to the height of the column being satisfactory |
