04. MINUTES
The Minutes of the Meeting held on 11th July, 2005, having been previously circulated, were agreed and signed by the Chairman

05. MATTERS ARISING
(a) Grass Cutting Contract
The Clerk reported that he had contacted the contractor and requested a shorter cut in the Small Playing Field
Councillor Stammers said that the cut had not been sufficiently improved
It was agreed to take up the matter again prior to the new mowing season
A response was agreed to a letter from the Environmental Maintenance Manager  concerning variations in the areas of grass cutting included in the new contract for Grounds Maintenance
(b) Protected Trees in the Park
The Clerk read a letter from Ruth Rose, Forestry and Landscape Officer outlining the current situation.
The information was noted and it was agreed to continue to monitor the situation
(c) Planning Enforcement Matters
It was noted that there was nothing further to report on the removal of the hedgerows at the Fruit Farm
The Clerk said that a Planning Application had been received for variation of use of land in respect of the caravans.
With regard to the wall at Corner Cottage, The Green, it was agreed to write a letter to the Enforcement Officer pointing out that it contravened both Planning Policy and the Village Design Statement
(d) Flooding
Councillor Stammers reported that he had two meetings with Mr. Jeff Timms of Severn Trent Water. Mr. Timms had been most co-operastive and had said that the sewage pipes were severely obstructed, with 60% capacity lost. Work was to be carried out to clear the pipes from the Treatment Plant back to the Foxhunter Public House
Work was also to be carried out to safeguard the property at Brook Cottage

It was agreed to appoint a Sub-Committee to submit recommendations in accordance with the agreement reached between the National Association of Local Councils and the Society of Local Council Clerks

11. TO RECEIVE COMMENTS/OBSERVATIONS FROM COUNCILLORS
Councillor Hobbs arrived at the meeting at 8.35 p.m.

 Asked Councillor Hobbs to bring to the attention of Snitterfield Governers the need to remove the weed growth around the boundary wall of the premises.
