It is on its way at last Ken. Chris mentioned it to me after Sun a.m. practice. Wednesday delivery. I am to collect mine at Sports Club. Maybe a snooker match could be played? I rang you last week but someone was on the phone so I left it. Colin Booth and I play again tonight. Hope the gang og four don't come in they play all night!

Unfortunately, due to illness (its a long story), I was unable to attend the Barn Dance last Saturday night, which was even more unfortunate in that I had rounded up 17 work colleagues from all corners of the Midlands to attend, knowing how good it was last year. Anyway, I've had lots of feedback from the 16 who made it and the general consensus was it was a tremendous night. Compliments go to all the organisers and especially to the cooks. I gather my mate, Turbo, was so impressed he had to sample three different puddings.

Great evening was had by all including young lads and lasses up to the older generation, like Choc Pete! Many thanks to the organisers: Jane Lewis and Sharon Keal and a good supporting cast of helpers including the bar helpers and Steve Lewis.
Sport included Snooker, Table Tennis, Pool and Darts. We have some really good experts in these fields and some young ones bursting with energy and enthusiasm which bodes well for the future of the Sports Club. The Winners? Well, everyone was a winner as the sporting nature ensured that the spirit of sportsmanship prevailed. If we have to mention names and it is right we should...Colin (Man City) Booth won the Darts; Lee Nibblet (Blues Fan)the Pool; Barnsley Dave of ICM the Table Tennis and the snooker....same old face literally - the one and only Choc Pete. He was heard to comment afterwards that it was down to Colin and the practice matches that his success was achieved. Nice sentiments those, eh. Choc Pete was bit quiet about the darts th... read more

Due to the perseverance endeavour and tenacity of one choc pete with the able assistance of Ray and Dave the Snipe Bar is now festooned with fairy lights. This will make for a brighter pint of whatever when it's purchased from over the SNIPE.

Enjoy the Festive Season.

Hi, Ken, just looking at the league to see that it is not updated yet. We went down 4-0 at Warwick Boat Club's very wet and inhospitable Astoturf. It was amazing to see the swerve and low trajectory after ball hit court. It was something new to experience.

Snooker sessions recommenced Monday nights.

It is with great sadness that I report the death of my old mate and neighbour, Bill Parnham in the early hours of this morning at Warwick Hospital.
The home page of this web site acknowledges in the first paragraph, the debt we owe to both Bill and his son, John, in bringing tennis to the village and it must be recognised that without Bill's tireless efforts, whether hammering in fenceposts, hassling all and sundry for funds or just being there for John when he needed him, the club in it's present form would not exist.
He was a 'good bloke'.

Best wishes once again to you Rob in your recovery. KC informed yesterday another 7 months, eh? Well if this is anthing to go by..it will go by...very quickly. Tempus fugit means the Romans new a thing or two. Even invented Gladiators before TV! Straight Roads with not too many sharp bends to negotiate! Even had a fallen empire before us! Whatever next? Keep posting notes, Rob you are missed. Keep the spellchecks going - goodness knows, they are needed!! Try and find out the tennis result this last weekend versus Stratford.....please!!! Ken will need it for the league site.
