Hello and welcome to our 2008 Village Fete.

As I write this in unseasonably warm May sunshine we are hoping that this year the weather will be better than the deluge we had last year. In spite of the weather, however, we made approximately £4,000!!! So many thanks to those of you who braved the elements in 2007.

A large proportion of that money was given to the Snitterfield School who had some big projects on the go and who had previously organised, run and benefited from the Summer Fete.

Obviously the Fete entails some quite large expenses from year to year but we are building up a Village Fete Fund to benefit and support local interests and it is open to anyone local to apply.
So if you live in Snitterfield or its surrounding area and have a local project which needs funding or have an idea which would benefit the village and would like the Fete Committee to allocate some funds please let us know. Every little helps.

As you will see from our programme in the centre pages, this year we have even more attractions and stalls for your enjoyment as well as music from Electric Mayhem and Richard Norris. The theme is Midsummer and there are fancy-dress, posy and fairy cake competitions and a scene from A Midsummer Night's Dream by the children from the school.

Committee members will be obvious as they are all wearing blue shirts with a Snitterfield Fete logo

As always we thank you for your support and we hope you enjoy your day and come back next year.

The Village Fete Committee

The Fete Committee is made up of interested individuals and representatives of village groups such as Snipe Newsletter, WI, Garden Club, Church, and the School. We are always looking for more members and would love to hear from anyone who would like to get involved

Our Aims are:

To promote local groups and provide a platform for them to fundraise for themselves
To provide a good quality local amenity for the village
To build up a fund with which to help support village groups, charities or individuals who may apply for monies to fund local projects or local individuals undertaking fundraising for larger charities.
The Fete raises money from:
