TASTING, SAMPLING, SHARING
 

The suggestion that Snitterfield WI should have a new section called the Tasting, Sampling and Sharing Group was instigated by member, Irene Mellini.
The idea was for each member of the group to produce a dish of a favourite recipe in their own home to be shared between friends with a cup of coffee or a glass of wine. The dish could be a starter, main course, supper, sweet or cake, anything that could be enjoyed and shared. Hopefully, it would be easy, so not too onerous for the person hosting.
Initially, 15 members have shown an interest and dates and hostesses for the coming year have been circulated.
WI chairman at the time, Judith Walker, was the first hostess and her recipe for CROSTATA (Pasta Frolla) actually became a favourite recipe as Irene thought that it would be a good one to start with and it certainly highlighted her Italian connections.
The group had a pleasant social evening and it, maybe, that the recipes and photographs will be incorporated in a book, so watch this space.
