is the month for our Annual meeting when we hear about the doings
for the past year. We have listened to many good speakers from"
Royal Occasions" with Lt. Col. Lesinski to "Colour
me Beautiful "with Cat MacFadyen. A group enjoyed a marmalade
making session at Ann Farr`s which was later sold at the village
fete. Also at the fete Angela Tomes had made a Pirate cake which
was included in the raffle and won by a lucky family. Some of
our members worked very hard to produce the "Big Breakfast"
in the village hall for the Royal Wedding . At the same time
we watched the wedding on the new big screen and over 100 people
participated . We also held our annual supper party kindly hosted
by Joyce Norman. Judith Walker our President attended the National
AGM in Liverpool. Our treasurer Joyce Norman announced that
we are solvent.The Bursery draw for Denman college was won by
Amongst future events the Spring Council meeting next March
will have Adam Henson of BBC1 s Countryfile as it`s guest speaker
. WI are organising their very own Olympics! and there will
be more Serious Science lectures. As from January 2012 visitors
,who are always very welcome,will be charged £3.
At the end of the evening Lindsay Rushton gave us a Yoga demonstration
which she and her husband do first thing every morning and I
must say they both keep very fit. Finally Ann Farr gave us a
lighthearted quizz about local shop names i.e Karl--and Frank--?
